ok heres a pest that i see most of the times, i wont say more than this but heres a pic....

its a fly of some sort, looks like the kind i see around here that look like a honey bee
 
ah hover flies here are pretty tame...they will let you pet thenm and pick them up...THAEN YOU FEED THEM TO YOU PLANTS!!! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHA....

well they lay their eggs and then the larvae start chewing the green!

This is actually a beneficial insect known as a syrphid fly, among other things. Its larva eat aphids!
