Pruning dying/dead nep pitchers

I just received a couple of neps whose pitchers have begun to blacken due to the acclimation process. I'm kinda torn between letting the pitchers rot away and trimming off the pitchers which clearly aren't going to recover. My reasoning is just that blackened pitchers don't really stand much of a chance and will only serve as an energy drain to the plant. Thoughts?

Energy drain to the plants? Uhh... not really lol. Just let the acclimation take its course, when it seems that everything is done dying just trim off the dead parts.

Do whatever you want. I always trim because of aesthetics and spacial reasons. Just don't cut into any of the green.

xvart.
