Highland and lowland, flowering together!

It's too quiet in here so I went out and snapped a couple pics. Today's subject is unlikely flowering nepenthes. What's odd is that I have a strict highland plant, and a strict lowland plant, within four feet of eachother, growing like gangbusters and flowering.

First, here's N. spectabilis. It's a male:

And over on the other shelf, N. viking is flowering (and growing like mad - my largest nepenthes from leaf tip to leaf tip!:

It also looks male to me.

Here's a pitcher from the viking - perhaps not the greatest one in cultivation by a long shot, but it's growing in highland conditions!:

And as a bonus pic, here's the biggest seedling from my first hybrid, N. (thorellii x aristolochioides) x truncata. It's two years old right about now:

Too bad you think they're both male! You could've tried to make an awsome cross...
Nice hybrid too.

Very nice how do you get both highlands and lowlands to live together lol

Congrats on the flowers! The N. viking looks really nice!

That could have made some nice children.

xvart.
