Lover of Mountains
So nice having some green inside while it's frigid outside. I recently transplanted them all, so some are recovering. Here's a few pics of some of my neps that took it well. My camera really struggles under the florescent light, so a couple of them have a flash picture also - and it still didn't nail the color.
Singlana - I love the bronzy color and the flared peristome. Starting to show some decent teeth too.
Sanguinea - still nothing too special.
Ventricosa red - starting to get some 'shape' to it
Jacquelinae - I was hoping this would be a dark red clone, but it looks like it's going to be the spotted variety.
Little baby Red Leopard starting to put out its first decently colored pitchers.
Talangensis x Veitchii - Pitchers just starting to get the reddish blush.
Ramispina - I hope one of these days the peristome actually turns dark like I see in others pictures. Mine don't darken much even under very bright light. I'm hoping it's just a bit young for the best colors. The leaves are actually a dark reddish bronze.
Spectabilis x Aristolochioides - I'm loving this one. Cannot wait for it get some size. I love the colors!
Glabrata - Finally (!) this one pitchered for me. Love this one also. The colors, the shape of the plant, those long tendrils. Looks like it's starting to put out several side shoots also - I think this will become one of my favs.
Lady Pauline - old faithful. Never ceases to put on a good show. One of my favorites. No sign of basals yet, I may have to try to persuade it into making one. The camera really doesn't get the bright scarlet the new pitcher has - makes a great contrast to the nearly black older pitchers.
Spectabilis x Mira - So far, looks like a fat spectabilis with a thinner peristome but wider mouth. It has an interesting lid protrusion for the first couple weeks after opening. Mine is slow to inflate pitchers, but the pitchers seem tough, almost like cardboard so I'm hoping they'll last a while.
