My best pitcher... so far.

I was saddened to see that this pitcher of mine was starting to brown and die, much before its time too, I might add. So here are a few pics of it before it turned into another unimportant looking dead leaf.

I noticed that nobody else ever snips their pitchers. Is this bad for the plant? I always do it when they start to decay, before they are completely dead. I noticed that other members just leave brown shells hanging from their plants. Just a matter of taste?

Pretty much; although, I'm sure it depends on how many plants you have to maintain and how sensitive you are to maximizing photosynthesis for your plants. I trim mine whenever I notice and have a few extra minutes. I usually wait until most of the pitcher is dead just in case it is still absorbing any nutrients still being digested.

You can Freeze dry your pitcher to preserve it, wash it out and pat it dry and put it in the freezer for about on month after that you let it thaw, and it will keep its shape and if your lucky the color will keep too.
