How long before mature pitchers are produced?

how long does it take for seedlings to produce mature pitchers?

i sowed seeds since June and they have germinated since July. How long more do i have to wait before they start producing mature pitchers?

Thank you

depending on the species probably a good 2 years

Mature as in looks like a pitcher, or mature as in actually an adult? Seedlings take one to two years to start looking like the plants you'd find from a nursery - the fastest I've heard of one reaching that stage was about six months, but that was an especially vigorous individual in a hybrid batch and is definitely far from the norm. As for reaching full vining maturity, I think it's usually about eight to 15 years, depending on breeding.

If they are Indochinese in origin, they get huge in a period of months. ;)

Most species take a couple of years for substantial pitchers, so I hope that you have time on your hands! :)

In my experience grown from seeds takes 18 months.
