Alex: If only mine wanted to pitcher like that... or at least have peltate leaves at that size.

thanks clue =] the pitchers just keep getting better and better. but the leaves dont stay peltate. only two are on the whole plant and the newest leaf isnt peltate. but it is pulling off a "flight of the quantum butterfly" thing. haha the leaf for the pitcher in my picture is probably only 4 inches long. smaller than the pitcher. but the newest leaf is nearly six inches long and almost 1.5 times as wide!! cant wait to see that pitcher.

I should've started earlier... the competition really seems to be heating up this month!
Here's my entry. Not actually the one I wanted to enter this month, but my shelves are too crowded to get a good pic of anything that isn't already out on the side.

Can anyone guess what it is? Looking at my Photobucket album or growlist is cheating. (But very easy, as far as cheating goes.)
IM001694.jpg

Not the best pic composition-wise. Shows off the attractive flare of this particular pitcher, though. They usually aren't this dramatic - I have a feeling it will fold back and develop the scalloped shape in the next few weeks.
IM001696.jpg

The plant is a monster - this particular leaf is over two feet long from the stem to the base of the pitcher. This isn't even the biggest pitcher that it's made recently. A year ago, it was just a little bigger than a foot in diameter. Big thanks to swords, who sent it to me as a freebie.
~Joe

PS - Here's the one that I wanted to enter for last month's contest. It would've looked great with the last of the summer ants swarming on it. Too busy though.

Cutie! Oh, how I want a digicam with a good macro setting...

its gotta be maxima or eymae. its too big to be fusca and those three are the ones with the appendage on the tip of the lid. its big though for maxima. but dosnt look like any eymae ive ever seen. hybrid?
