Just had an earthquake, so what better than to post a pic thread! (it's a nice day out so I got some good sunshine for pics)

Woah, you'd better hang on to something, you just had another <a href="http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsus/Quakes/ci14607868.php">little guy</a>! It's a cluster.

~~~~ OMGosh! You just had a MESS of 'em! http://earthquake.usgs.gov/earthquakes/recenteqsus/Maps/US2/32.34.-117.-115.php What'd I say, huh? Shoot! :0o:
Felt like a pretty big one (a 6 point something centered in Baja?) for about a minute or two, then a little later what felt like a smaller aftershock. Honestly the ground is still vibrating a little bit right now. Been a while since we got anything so I think we were due - since we didn't get hit with what was going around Taiwan and Chile earlier in the year.
6.8, yeah.
I got my times all mixed up; I thought the little ones happened first. :facepalm:
Oh, yeah, I just heard about the earthquake. Man, what's with all these earthquakes? D:
Anyway, your Neps are looking great.
Can I call the thorelii x campy basal? :p
Thez_yo: So how is your clip doing? :-O
An earthquake would freak me out. The ground isn't supposed to move! I'll take a hurricane any day over an earthquake.
I don't see why not - ask me again in a couple of months...I think I'm in the habit of cutting out basals once they get a good 7 leaves and 3" in length and trying to root them. N.spec, Exotic Lady, and flava are OK with it, sibuXhamata has a 50% attrition rate so far. The miraXspath will need repotting probably later in the summer because the mix looks kinda bad already so I might pull that basal off too, and the Red Leopard might get pulled apart too depending on how close to the basals are to the main growth point.
and the Clip still in a 3" pot:
clicky -->
And the earthquakes: I'm from VT, so earthquakes are a little strange, but I think you get used to them. I think I'd be more freaked by a hurricane because the buildings don't get wrecked by earthquakes. Worst things I'm used to from back home is 40 below weather in the winter.
Are you kidding?!? I'd take a little rumble any day, versus having my whole town blown down. :0o:
Gimmie my California Roller Coaster ride! :jester:
Great pictures, Thez yo!
Thanks for the compliments everyone :)
I dunno what I'm doing, but I must be doing it right because the only plant I've had die since I started a year ago was an amp b/c of shipping stress and cold.
Thez_yo: Your clipeata is looking good! In no time it should be quite large. :)
