You have Neps, too? Nice looking plants, BTW!

Wow to the N.Alata @___@

I want that alata!!!!! :-O

Both look nice
But the Alata is cool don't think I've ever seen a Variegated Nep before
Kind of looks like a Spider Plant
Do the pitchers stay pale like that???

I've never seen that Alata before, are you the only person who has one?

The pitchers are blah IMO, but the leaves more than make up for it! But then again, that guy is still in his juvenile form, so just wait and see!

I Like The Pitchers, They're Different...

Excellent plants, both quite unfamiliar to me. Love em both! That alata is probably worth some dollars!

For the fans of the Varigated Alata aka. Alata 'Variegata':

The hilarious thing is that N. Alata can and does root from a 1-inch single noded cutting half the time, let alone a sizeable one. I think that plant is just one of the treasures that Leilani Hapu'u would like to keep in-house. They could have easily propagated a hundreds of the buggers in the last 2 years!

Thanks for the kind words, Folks! :)

Actually, when older they are a long, straggly looking plant and the pitchers seem to stay small and stunted, regardless of age. They will also acquire a nice pink tint to the leaves when grown in strong sun.

This one stays spoiled in one of the Heliamphora chambers... :-O

Happy Growing,

Brian.
