N. 'Judith Finn' Flowering

theyellowdart

sea bear returns!
Hey guys

My N. 'Judith Finn' is putting up a flower stalk, which marks my first Nepenthes flower! Anyone know if this one is a male or female? I can provide pictures if necessary, but I figured one of you hardcore Neppers would know right off the bat.

Also, as a feeler, would anyone be interested in exchanging pollen? Or possibly just straight up trading for some? (if it's a male)

Thanks,
Matt

It's male, Matt. Congrats!

Pictures?!

Are these always male?

It's interesting how 'Judith Finn', 'Miranda' and 'Lady Pauline' (probably others) are male plants :p

Not the best names for those, IMO. :D

Awesome job yellow, most have trouble even getting judith to pitcher, much less flower.

As for males with females names, don't be so homophobic. :p Just kidding. No way to tell the sex of the plant when they're young and a name is needed. If I ever make a cross I'd personally avoid gender specific names.
Maybe N. robin or better yet PAT! (Think S.N.L.)
