Information seems to be sparse about keiki paste, so I don't know much of the theory behind it, but I thought this might be an interesting topic in regards to its use on nepenthes...
I've used it on many occasions with very good results. In my experience the best results were obtained using very fresh hormone and keeping the mother plant in very high light and humidity levels. Also..the paste was applied only to leaf axils that had strong, visible nodes protruding. I also only treated 1 to 2 nodes per plant. It's very strong stuff.
