these are a few weeks old,
after dinner I will take a few better pics of the one that is sprouting off the stem...
is this uncommon or should i cut it off? will it harm the plant?

could it be a different kind of nep? the one pitcher has some small dots on the bottom of the pot?

what you have on your nep is a basal---it's a natural occurrence. you could even use that for propagation once when it gets bigger. it looks like you've got two.
