gorgeous SOM.

Just when I think it can't get any better, it puts out a new pitcher and it is in fact bigger and better.

I have taken several pictures of it in the past so I almost didn't take one today, but it is just so photogenic...

If you ever have a cot for rent in your shade house, let me know. LOL.

I love the N x hachijo! And your raffs just made me want to get one again. They are one of the most beautiful nepenthes IMO.

Damon - always room for another Hoosier. If you (or any of the other bug bitter out there) make it to the island I would love to meet and talk story.

As for the rafflesiana, I agree; they are beautiful and there are just so many different varieties and color forms it will make your head spin. In a good way, or course...

The veitchii x platychila is interesting. It looks like it's tinted pink. I love maxima "dark", the Meadowview plant made a massive pitcher that we could stare at for hours. Nice raffs!

The veitchii x playchila is tinted pinkish yellow, it is a very difficult color to describe. I will be interested to see how the color changes as it gets bigger.

Something a little different today… I have had several folks ask me about where / how I grow my plants and what other types of plants grow well for me so I thought I would give you a plant tour of the Ellison residence. I hope you enjoy!

You can already see something might be amiss as you turn off the main road and into our little cul-de-sac.

Well. I suppose jealousy doesn't really even begin to describe my feelings about your place of residence.

  • #95
Wow Keith, stunning doesnt even begin to describe... :hail:

Keep em comin :)

  • #96
That's incredible! How do you keep track of them all?

  • #97
Thanks for your kind comments.

As for keeping track of them, I have tried a couple of plant DBs, but have settled on a good old Excel spreadsheet to track the nepenthes, which are really the only ones I have tried to keep up with.

I will try to get some updated pitcher pictures over the next couple of days...

Stunning, I love your set up for everything, the succulent rack looks quite cool! I have to say my favourite part were the neps though ;).

Also, love the lion's heads fountain, I've always liked those types of fountains!

I commented on these over at the proboards. Looking at them again I wonder if you grow any Roridula?
