Wow Dex, she's a beauty to be sure...definitely a drool-worthy addition to any collection.

Thanks for sharing!

Next month, its should be just lowlanders...There's just no competition between the hamatas, villosas, and eddys.

:-))

Though I do feel your pain, that's not totally true. I won the first one back in the day with a N. bicalcarata and I am quite sure that if someone had a beasty enough N. northiana, sumatrana or maybe mirabilis var echinostima (sp?), they could easily give the old highlander pretty boys a run for their money!

Gimme five years..I'll win this thing with a monster northiana pitcher. :awesome:

Not if my northiana has something to say about it! :mwahaha:

Thanks, I've had it just under a year. It grows like a weed, over 2' across now. I was planning on posting it already, it just so happens that someone mentioned posting this mirabilis variety earlier in this thread.:-O

N. Splendiana x (Rokko x Stenophylla) Seed grown. (Notice it's sibling in the background and the huge difference in size and appearance. I love seed grown material!)

I agree...I'm a seed-grown addict myself.

wow.. hope my seed grown one turns out that nice. It's a bit behind ever since it fell off the shelf and broke in half. Two new large growth points have emerged and started pitchering though.. so we'll see soon enough!

Figured I'd give it another go with my N. spectabilis 'Giant' x spathulata. Here's a shot of the latest pitcher...
