Has Anyone Used ABG Mix with Nepenthes?

It's mainly used in the vivarium community because it doesn't compact and drains really well, so I had some extra and was wondering if it might go well with pitchers?

Here is what's in it:

1 part milled peat

1 part milled sphagnum moss

1-2 part fine charcoal

2 parts fine tree fern fiber

2 parts fine orchid bark

I've used a mix similar to this for Nep seedlings...it works well, and I don't see why it couldn't be used on larger neps too.

The fact that it is so fine doesn't sit right with me, for some reason. Maybe with the addition of perlite and subtraction of the peat, I'd try it out.

Out of curiosity, what does the ABG stand for?

Atlanta Botanical Gardens, it was developed by them. It's certainly not fine, in fact it's very chunky...
