Some 2012 seedlings . . .

Here is a sample from one of my highland Nepenthes trays, from seed sown in the Fall -- grown in my preferred compost of peat and quartz sand. Later, they can be easily scooped from the media and transferred -- in a peat "plug" -- to a live sphagnum-based compost without any root damage . . .

Looking good there BB!

I've found that the peat/quartz sand mixture does indeed lift out nicely as a peat plug for ease of transplanting later.

thats very cool. I wish that I could have a good of luck with my seeds.

very nice BB! always fun to see what kinda stuff you've got cooking!

Great as always BigB. :)

Here is a recent update on a batch of some highland seed, at just about seven months, just as they were given their first course of fertilizer. The remnants of its seed coat can still be seen just below the pitchers.

That particular batch was given highland conditions from the very beginning, with nights averaging 10˚C, if not lower; and days of 25˚C . . .

Very nice; you're lucky. Nepenthes seed, depending upon the species, are notorious for their low germination rate and relatively short shelf-life -- especially that of lowlanders . . .
