Whoa! Insects beware!

Wow, they look great!!!

Have you had long-term success with them? I would have thought that they would not do well without a cold period in the winter....

Thanks!

I just got my first little ones at the beginning of last year, and those did fantastically well. That B52 rhizome was no bigger than my pinky finger nail, now it's almost filled that whole pot. They all seemed to go into dormancy just fine. There was one older one in that big pot that decided to flower early in the year, around March or so. None of the other ones were big enough at that time to flower, but I'm quite sure they will next year ;-)

Thanks for the feedback Christian! I have never tried flytraps because I assumed they would not do well here in Hawaii; however, it looks like I will have to give them a try....

I just put mine in my refrigerator for dormancy. Gets too cold where I live to leave them outside for it.

Those are some superior flytraps all around. The b52 and reds are the most spectacular

Yeah they are certainly worth trying! I think also having them in absolutely as much full sun as possible really helps so they notice the change in daylight hours more.

just FYI all my photos are now being posted to Facebook at: http://www.facebook.com/MonsterPlantGrowers
I had been posting them all to my personal page, but I think my family's been tortured enough by the never ending stream of carnivorous plant photos ;-)
