newbie question

how does one package a nepenthes for shipping?

I just wrap the plant in paper towels, put it in a ziplock bag and fill the box with packing peanuts or paper. Another good way is to put the plant in a sturdy box then fill the shipping box with packing peanuts and what not.

Any humidity-sensitive plant should go in a ziplock, in my opinion. It irks me when I receive a plant that's bone-dry above the roots.

Unless you're very experienced, best way is unspotted, with the roots wrapped in damp sphagnum moss to prevent damage, and placed in a wet paper towel, all in a Ziploc bag. Then, this bag goes into box cushioned with your choice: packing peanuts, bubble wrap, newspaper, etc.
