I'll Betcha No One Hits the B.I.N.......

  • #21
Human beings want things above and beyond the necessities and depending on how bad they want them determines value..........pretty simple logic really.........unless it's a devout socialist looking at it. Market value is the only fair way where humans are involved and for myself, the wanting can be for more pleasurable than the having. I give nothing to charity voluntarily not because I am stingy or uncaring but because my government has mandated various charitable entitlements to be taken from my earnings making me look like a very charitable guy indeed.
Anyone see that villosa that sold last week for $600+ on the 'Bay? It appeared to be a well maintained plant of a reasonable size for a decent price even though I wasn't jumping in. I enjoy just seeing them out there for sale and watching the feeding frenzy that usually occurs within the last few minutes. I saw a small ed' and some other interesting varieties selling there lately also.

i do not want to participate in this argument but just wanted to add that the "market prices" are dictated by the age old rule of supply and demand.

Considering there was an N. edwardsiana about that same size that sold a few years ago on eBay for $2200, I highly doubt this plant will go for the asking price.

*Update: I am retracting this sale. As much as this sale would help me financially I can't give it up since it means so much to me. I am sorry everyone*

No one read the bit at the end there... ;)

The way I understood this post is that "this" is not referring to the rule, it is referring to the act of reselling seeds...

That is EXACTLY what I meant.
