    What sorcery is this? It is doing an ampullaria? Some are from the vine behind, but at least one is straight out of that tiny rosette...

    I don't grow gracilis (didn't find plant, seeds never germinated), but none of the pics I've seen are like this. this is incredible. If you don't mind, can you post another photo showing what is going on?

    N. gracilis does the same thing ampullaria does, just isn't as famous for it. Same with gymnamphora and its relatives, weda, danseri, and a few others. Some papers refer to it as a "nanophyll rosette"
