Nice entry mcmcnair,

The lid on this thing just keeps going vertical with every pitcher...

That seems like a rather predictable trait, given the parentage.

Excellent pitchers everyone!!

Yes I agree, but from the plants and photos I've seen, they don't seem to performed the lid recline to that extent, is this occurring for anyone else?

You've got yourself a very nice clone there kulamauiman :-D

Nothing special, save the malformed lid.

As an aside, I can't wait until some of my other plants qualify. Getting some killer pitchers out of them.

  • #14
wow! I am hoping to get a lowland tank sometime just to grow a bical :)

They're my favorite. Hence, I just ordered a couple different clones. We'll see how those look. I just always think of the one at Atlanta Botanical Gardens producing upper pitchers (when I was there). Absolutely phenomenal.

ephippiata vs. ephippiata ! Both nice looking plants guys. You almost never see one that big in cultivation Paul. Great job !

awesome.. Now I just feel stupid.
In all seriousness though, I'll probably cry the day mine loses it's spikes and stripes.

Hey Mass,
Both lower and upper pitchers of N. ephippiata are beautiful. You will have lower pitchers for quite some time. That plant
has a basal I should cut, and it will be interesting to see how long it takes to produce uppers. I think the lower pitchers are fantastic, especially
when they are around 15 cm.
Cheers, Paul
