I want to do this so bad. I just need to finally find a piece of limestone. And a pot. And a bunch of campanulatas that actually like me.

Yours is perfect. Kudos.

Yeah me too, although I already have the Campanulata...

High praise from a grower such as yourself. :) I took out the Bolbitis ferns from the planter and am currently looking for some Bornean limestone specialists to replace them, preferably native to Sarawak. I'm also growing N. northiana in a similar way, although it's too young to display.

I've also started a blog out of boredom because I wanted all the information I've collected and remarked in one place. The blog is mostly for information, I'll probably keep dumping various Nepenthes photos here unless you guys are bored of this. :p

That mirabilis is turning out really well.

Thanks Hawken! :) It's really grown into its looks and enjoyed the warm early autumn weather here. The pitcher venation is pretty unique to my eye, it's a great plant that grows a lot faster than most of my highlanders. There are a few basal shoots with small leaves but they haven't been growing recently. I grow it permanently sitting in water and the root system is pretty aggressive.

I should be studying for midterms but I'm easily distracted with the few plants I brought with me to my dorm...

Thank you, Sashoke! :) The N. campanulata have grown quite a bit since the last full shot of the setup, too, but it's hard to take a flattering picture of it without my camera.

Those are looking great! May I ask, where did you find a N. clipeata?

Awesome! You're up to 2 clippies now, or have you caught them all?

Once the boschiana grows a little, can you tell me about how nectar-y it is? I have a boschiana & campanulata hybrid, and the lids are always goopy, pitcher outer surfaces have nectar spots on them, and sometimes they drool too. The other campy crosses are pretty goopy all over too, but afaik campy doesn't get all that messy in the pitchers.

Hey Natch, this one was direct from AW several years ago. It's never been particularly showy for me but it is happier in my lowland tank than it has been for a long time.

Zu, I only have the one at this time. :) The N. boschiana is about a foot across now and the pitcher is about 15 cm tall; it doesn't make much nectar except for right in the middle of the lid. The goopy nectar definitely a trait from N. campanulata, mine get covered in nectar once the pitchers harden a little; the nectar stays as large globules all over the lid and peristome that are very viscous -- I would have a picture of it if I didn't snap off the most recent pitcher a few days ago! :ohno:

Edit: In fact, there are some (bad) pictures near the top of the page where my BE N. campanulata pitchers are just beginning to produce nectar.
