Egg shell water vs Gypsum

The recipe calls for 6 egg shells. How much gypsum would be equivalent? My understanding is that small amounts of calcium in the egg shell water benefit the nepenthes so wouldn't a tiny amount of neutral pH gypsum have the same effect?

That would not have the same effect. They are two different minerals entirely
