Checking for embryo in nepenthes seeds with bleach

I came across this very cool stuff while browsing one of the Taiwanese forums. I thought I'd share it here.

So this guy was surface-sterilizing some nep seeds with bleach for in vitro culture, but he left them for too long in the bleach solution, and the seed coat became transparent, while the white embryo can be clearly seen within:

He suggests that bleaching seeds should be a useful method for checking the presence of embryos in seed lots.

Luckily for him the embryos survived and the seeds later germinated in vitro:
