broken roots

i got a new order in last week. i lucked out and caught them before they sold out of their n. aristolochioides, one i've been eagerly searching for for a few months now. I potted it in the 2.5" pot that it came with, and then later that night decided it was too small and that i would put it in a 4" that i had. Well i packed the media a little too tight on the sides and was having difficulty getting it back out, when the worst thing imaginable happened. my fingers slipped and i felt the media "break". the original plug was probably 2.5-3" and i broke the media at about 1" down and saw that the roots were very visible, protruding almost all the way to the bottom. Since that day i've been hoping the best for my little gem, but yesterday i noticed some wilting. this is a TC plant, not a clone, so i'm kinda thinking its not going to make it...what do you guys think?

Looks like you lost the plant. A TC plant would indicate that it is a clone.

yeh i thought so. and yes it is a clone, doh, meant to put cutting

Do you have pics of the plant from before this one?
That is a lost plant. and, it should not look like that from broken roots.

Almost looks like cold damage from what I've seen

@morbius no i do not have any earlier pictures, but it did not look like this when i received it. it actually had a thumbnail sized pitcher on it when it arrived, but was already blackened at top so i cut it off after about day 2-3 when it started to dry. that one leaf in the middle bottom was already curled up like that though, and it was pretty cold when shipped, so maybe that ended it. the drosera capensis that came in the same shipment definitely didnt appreciate the trip, and arrived pretty unhealthy

Im not well versed with cold damage, but something happened to it
