Hi Arie,

I do like your new camera too :) Very nice pictures of your plants indeed. Keep on posting them!

Hmm, concerning your N. talangensis are you sure it is a pure N. talangensis? For my eyes the pitcher shape and the peristom doesn't seem to match N. talangensis. Where did you get it from?

I think you know the source of it .
its from Olivier from Swiss and I know he
known as one to trust of .

The peristome looks different on N. talangensis to me too. Compared to these:

But I have seen photos of younger plants that have pitchers like yours. How big is the plant?

it's a young plant about 20 CM (8") high

I would have to agree the talangensis doesn't look quite right... even though it is supposedly a variable species.  Looks like talangensis with alata or something. The peristome is not wide enough and 'lobster trap' like and the pitcher looks like it is too elongated and with a waist in the middle.

Here is a picture of one of mine... bear in mind this is a 1inch (2.5cm) pitcher on a 2inch (5cm) wide plant.

Hello,

OK, I have asked someone who should know it:

"Andreas Wistuba" andreas@wistuba.com wrote:

Das ist ganz klar keine N. talangensis.

(This is obviously no N. talangensis.)

The Nepenthes ventricosa x talangensis I ahve seen in Würzburg looked similar.
But it is a very nice plant, if hybrid or not....

My Nepenthes ventricosa x talangensis looks very similar to yours Arie and you do have very good photographic skills. Although you may have gotten it from a reliable source do you know he did. Can you ask him for the history of the plant.

thanks my friends I would mark it as ventricosa x talangensis and add the real talangensis to my wants list.
