N. gracilis and n. ventricosa

Wesley

God must have an interesting sense of humor
Does my N. gracilis and N. ventricosa need extra high humidity to do well? I am wanting to grow them somewhere other than a terrarium.

Thanks in advance,
Wes

All Nepenthes would need extra humidity to perform well. N. Gracilis would need extra humidity to perform but N. Ventricosa could stand low humidity conditions due to their waxy leaves and heavy pitchers.

Thanks. That helped a whole heap.LOL

Wes

Ventricosa can grow just fine on a window sill.
N. gracilis has thinner leaves and may take an adjustment period, but I think it could still be grown out of your terrarium. Try and make the change more gradual.

I live in western North Carolina. Boone, North Carolina. It is about a 1 1/2 hour drive from Winston-Salem.
