Nepenthes the GREAT picture thread!

  • #102
You know I was under the impression you had been growing these plants for more than a decade

Nope, but to be fair - my horticulture skill set goes back 45 years, so..... approaching the Nepenthes concept was new territory to me only in the specifics.

This needs no introduction, I'm sure...

This is supposed to be N. Dusk (Lailani) which is N. Sheridaniana X bongso, but I seriously doubt that ID:

That jamban. Let me guess, that species is either hard to grow, gets huge, or is both of these things.

N. jamban is easy if you provide good, solid highland conditions, but it vines quickly from a young plant and the vines travel for many feet. Its also difficult to find and tends to be very expensive.

Yup gets huge then. Darn little dorm, you are why I can't have toilet bowl shaped nepenthes!

Pretty sure this just became your new pic thread, Paul

Do his pictures not fit here perfectly though? :)

It is not my intent to become the dominant force here, but it did seem to me that it was worth posting pics on a thread that wasn't soon going to vanish from view, since this one is "stickied", and it seemed a shame to me that this was a relatively unused thread.
