Hey Thanks guys! N. hamata is truly a beautiful Nepenthes if it's grown correctly with lots of humidity. N. truncata is a natural weed in my ghouse.

Wow!  A black hamata!  That's neat-o.  Thanks for sharing the pics.

Do you have a pic of the rest of the burbidgeae?

Looks awesome, as always.

Hi Nep,

Hi Bobby, well to have clean plants one must have a clean area in which to grow them! I like my motto of "A clean greenhouse is a happy greenhouse!"

But seriosuly it does reduce the potential for possible fungus attacks and mold growth.

Pat, I don't know it came from Phil in his sale there. I labeled it N. alata to the best of my knowledge. I have been discussing it with Tony and he is thinking maybe it is N. alata x ventricosa maybe. I guess I will have to wait for it to become larger and more mature to see what it resembles. It sure looks like N. alata right now, the bulbous bottom may be indicating the boschiana mimic variety. We shall wait and see!

Hmm.. I gave some to Phil a looong while back (ventrata).. Maybe he got tired of it? ;-)

The pitchers sure look N. alata. When I saw the plant in person without pitchers the leaves looked a bit off from typical N. alata with the petiole margins running down to the stem but not quite as much as a normal N. ventrata.. go figure
