watering neps

I just wanted to find out how often one should water a nep if it grows in a mix composed mainly of sphagnum moss. The plant is growing outside and it gets indirect sun for 4 hours and the temperature goes up to 85 F during the day??

I know that as soon as the top sphagnum looks a bit dryish, it is an indicator that more water is needed. But i found even though the sphagnum on top is dry the one at the bottom of the pot isn't. As you may all know, excess watering can cause root rot.

thanks

Peter

I water mine every three days. Its in a 8 inch pot, so the top of the soil will be bone dry, but if you would burrow your finger down into the LFS there is moisture.
