New Pitchers

okay I feel stupid but how long does it take for new pitchers to grow. I have a baby Nep. and I was wondering how do pitchers grow anyway. i feel stupid asking but I haven't seen one grow though since I just bought it.

Give the plant ample amount of light and high humidity.

The little nodes on the end of the leaf will slowly swell up. As soon as it reaches a certain height, the pitcher will open.

As far as time is concerned, that depends on 1) the kind you have and 2) the conditions it's in. Some species and hybrids just take longer than others. The fastest I've ever seen was about a week, and the longest (my dearly departed truncata) was about 6 or 7 weeks.
