Nepenthes macrovulgaris

are we sure we're talking about the same plants? Could you be refering to macrophylla ? those have incredibly thick leaves.....

N. macrophylla has leaves like thick plastic. N. macrovulgaris have leaves that are very similar to say N. hirsuta.

I got my Macrovulgaris, and its awesome. Its only a baby but still I'm excited to see how it performs. It does, indeed, have the thin leaves like miribilis or hirsuta so I'm keeping the humidity extra high.
