Thanks again for the kind words. Glad that the picture is so
    well received.

Well, this species is really not that tough to grow, but I
commend you for your discipline, given that you feel you
would not be successful. It's far better to do that than
to try to cultivate something beautiful and end up destroying
it. If I had a nickel for every time I've heard a newbie talk
about growing N. villosa to maturity....

I gotta say, it takes years to develope the discipline to know when you aren't ready. Unfortunately it also takes many a dead plant sometimes rareties to get there.

That is an AMAZING plant! I really want to get a northiana of my own.
Update: Parents convinced to allow me to keep greenhouse heated over winter. Most species will not be lost. Too lazy to update growlist.

Tuna: I would recomend trying N. x mixta it`s cross with N.maxima first as this plant is less demanding inj conditions, and as I understand it also exhibits "hybrid vigor".

    Just my 2 pence worth....

Dang! That is just the definition of cool. Now I have something to look forward to, oh, 5 years down the road.

Oh, my kingdom for a greenhouse!

Well, if Jeff will pull the camera back, you will see you don't need one He has essentially committed a small space of house to this plant , in the way that some of the exotic animal people would do with a chameleon or something. Not many people here would put together a chamber for one plant.
But then again, I think Jeff's whole body is green, not just his thumbs, lol.

    Cheers,

    Joe
