They are pretty tolerant of low humidity but you might need to acclimate them to it.

Yes, as Pyro says- our house has radiator heat and is bone-dry, my U.longifolia is/are in an open tray in my windowsill with no problems- this is how I got it to bloom even so as long as you are a bit careful taking it from extreme bag-supplied hhumidity to something much lower, it should be fine

I plan on moving it to a real pot soon and also taking part and putting it in a paludarium I have going. One of the leaves produced a baby off of it complete with little bladders and everything.

Beautiful! how tall is it it looks huge compared to mine.
