U. nelumbifolia (from last spring)(& wishing / hoping for some more this year):
.... and a few U. nephrophylla:
... and the triclops (w/ 2 spurs):
I have a few others that now 'seem' large enough to produce flowers - maybe I'll get lucky .....![]()

Woooo look at the color on the U. nelumbifolia, even in the stem! Is that the Maui sun doing that?? Mine usually look more like Rons. Wonder if it's clonal, cultural, or both!
One to add that is a bit tough to appreciate at times..
From last Spring.

Aloha Tony,
might be the high UV due to the subtropical latitude and the high elevation. Might also be a result of the cool nights it has gotten. my spring flowers were very similar in shade to yours and Ron's. Dunno if it is clonal. Might be able to test someday as this one seems to be constantly wanting to make new plants.
There are some of my plants that i can truly 'expect' to see a flower from at some point (large, healthy, robust, etc). There are some that I can 'hope' for a flower & I may or may not get one. However, the U. jamesoniana goes into the category that I hope I can just keep it alive & maybe someday figure out how to have it thrive.....
Tony . . . .
Soooo .... what other Orchidioides have you gotten to flower in the hinterlands of upstate NY?![]()
