Does G. violacea grow adult leaves immediately after germination? The reason I'm asking is that I'm used to droseras where the first leaves don't have traps. I am also surprised that the leaf is rather large too, approx. 5 mm.
I grew some G. violacea from seed last season. They are very rapidly growing plants. Right from germination they quickly develop into the typical form, and mine flowered less than 3 months after germination.
