I was wondering if mosquito larvae was okay to feed to my new U. gibba , I heard that mosquito larvae are too big and will rot the trap if a small amount of the body has'nt been eatin like the venus flytrap .
Mosquito larvae are way too big to become trapped in Gibba traps. The traps are usually about 1mm across! Utrics are unique in that they can catch a small aquatic creature by its head say, and digest it in stages. Gradually pulling bits into the trap and digesting it until its all gone! Rotting of the trap is rare and certainly causes the plant no harm!
