The strange rosette that appeared in a pot which I suspect I recycled after sowing the only Genlisea seed I have ever had (Genlisea aurea) is sending up a flower scape. Honest! I can't believe it myself, but there it is. I have seen the rosettes in photos, and they look similar. None of my Genlisea's have ever set seed, so I guess when you eliminate all other possibilities the one remaining must be true. So I am going to make a small little crow now ,woo hoo, and a bigger one later if the flower is yellow.

Never give up on a pot. It had to have been over a year old! I tried germinating U. bisquamata in the pot but it failed to germinate as well. I kept it under cultivation mostly from lazieness. It is good to be lazy sometimes.
