there's a water snail in my aquatic cp tank with aquatic utricularia and aldrovanda. What should I do with it? will it eat the CP's or the duckweed and other duck-weed-resembling plant life ? Thanks,
Droseradude,
You probably got the snail with my utric. Snails are an essential part of a healthy pond ecosystem (which is essential for growing aquatic utrics). Snails keep algae in check, eat plant waste, and provide very mild fertilizer. I have only once experienced them eating a utric; normally the utrics grow at close to supersonic speeds, leaving snails in the dust.
