Aquatic utrics are eveywhere!

I'm amazed by how widespread and abundant aquatic Utrics are in the US. I just got back from a trip to the Outer Banks, that narrow strip of sand off the coast of NC. Amazingly enough I managed to find U. gibba and U. macrorhiza. I'm always finding them in MI everywhere I go. They're not flashy but they sure are cool.

For you nature lovers, next time you are at a natural lake, swamp, etc. poke around the plants near shore and look close and you just might find a Utric or two.

I'll have to keep that in mind. I don't see why there wouldn't be any in PA.
