My wife has ordered a water garden to be built in the back yard. I live in zone 8, southern Mississippi, and realized this to be the perfect oportunity to install an outdoor carnivorous bog. I already have several types of sarracenia on order, as well as a clump of terrestrial utricularia. I would like to have some aquatic utricularia to cut down on mosquito larva. Also, any tips on maintaining a bog like this is more than welcome.

You would have to make a place where the water would pool and have very little water movement for some aquatic utrics. They also like a shaded, semi shaded environment, or tea colored water.

U. inflata or U. gibba would be easy-est to maintain
