You should cut the flower as so as you see it spout up. Only let very healthy plants flower. VFT's also love lots of sun light. Here in Jacksonville Florida the sun light is brutal. My VFT greens even turn red. I have to water them daily with rain water I've collected. Remember, never use tap or well water.
