I only rescue ladybugs and butterflies.

What kind of insect is that? It looks like some sort of ant, but it seems to have wings...
 
I've rescued VERY few bugs. I think I save a moth from a Sarr one time...*thinks really hard trying to come up w/ other acts of heroism*:scratch: ...nope can't come up with any more

If a bug gets caught like that, before it closes tightly I push it further in with a paper clip.

And the first time you tear a trap because you can't leave it alone, should give you a clue not to mess with the way it catches its food. It will still digest whatever is in its "mouth".

The only bug I've rescued was a beautiful dragon fly that got caught by my capensis clump.
