how to acclimate?

My fly trap doesn't seem to be doing very well inside, it's got a bunch of traps growing out but they are developing very slowly and kinda funky as i showed in my very first post here. Anyways, whats the best way to acclimate a plant to different conditions, such as outdoors?

put in a a shadey spot first and gradually acclimate to full sun.
Peter.

Well, you don't have to worry too much about humidity right? It shouldn't be too hard, just try what pingman said.

Did you ever give that plant a dormancy?

By the way, it's 'acclimatise'.

I grew up with the word 'acclimate', particularly with reference to saltwater fish, upon arrival. It is only recently that I have seen the use of the word 'acclimatise' or 'acclimatize'. So I did a quick Google on each word. Here's acclimate:

ac·cli·mate (ə-klī'mĭt, ăk'lə-māt')
tr. & intr.v., -mat·ed, -mat·ing, -mates.
To accustom or become accustomed to a new environment or situation; adapt. See synonyms at harden.

[French acclimater : a-, to (from Latin ad-; see ad–) + climat, climate (from Old French; see climate).]

And this what I got for acclimatise:

England and America are two countries separated by a common language.
--George Bernard Shaw

In the Commonwealth the proper/preferred spelling of certain words is to use the letter "s" vs zed ("z") as preferred by Americans. Thus it is "rasterise" vs "rasterize". Either is correct and any dictionary worth bothering with should say so. If you are old enough, certainly you will remember Kenneth Clarke's "Civilisation" (emphasis mine).
