Last year I did some leaf cuttings (water method) of some VFTS. Well, I was successful and now have a bunch of new plantlets. They were growing so good in the glass cup I never bothered to transplant them out into sphagnum. There is no medium in there, just water.
This is an interesting phenomenon. I've done this with Nepenthes cuttings. I've sprouted cuttings in water where they have even gone on to pitcher. I wonder how long they can grow in water.
Just goes to show ya that as long as something that is NOT supposed to be grown as an aquatic, can do so if it gets its start that way. I had pretty much the same thing going with B. liniflora and a Ceph leaf. Great job! I wouldn't be quick to transplant it!
