Soil Question

Can someone tell me some info on the type of soil my vft is in. I've only used peat and perlite. They weren't lying when they said small plant, this little guy is a B-52. :-(

That sphagnum can be just fine as a medium, but I like to grow mine in 1:1:1 peat:sand:perlite.

It looks like long fiber sphagnum moss to me, but it could just be a top layer. Take a pencil or a chopstick and do some careful exploration near the edge of the pot.

Long fiber sphagnum moss can be an excellent growth medium for Venus Flytraps but you have to play it by "ear" to see what the best watering practice is for your situation.
