Anyone ever tried growing fly traps hydroponically? ...I have grown other plants successfully but am concerned with the special needs (distilled water, etc). I'm going to try it, so any advice from any experienced grower would help! Thanks!

i was able to grow a cape sundew once in a cup of fresh distilled water, but soon it grew kinda weakly looking so i grew it in peat/sand and its great now. it was in water for about 4 weeks.

The acidity is the issue, to my mind. You will need to add it cleanly, so some kind of peat tea or peat filter is out. Phosphoric acid, perhaps, or vinegar (two TBS per gallon)?

This would be awfully cool if it worked.
