Vft dormancy in tropics

Hi all,

I'd like to ask if any1 has any experience dealing with VFTs' dormancy in a tropical climate. I'm hoping to do without uprooting the plant and putting it in the fridge. Wld putting the plant in an air-conditioned room (perhaps 20 degrees C, as opposed to 32 degrees C outdoors) and reducing its light intake help?

In fact, how would I know when to put it to dormancy since the temp here is quite constant, except that in Oct-Dec, it tends to be wetter, and hence a little cooler and cloudier?

Thanks very much.

First of all 20C is way way to hot for dormancy. However, tell me the city you live in so I can help you out. If you live in California than it should be OK for outdoor dormancy.
