Trap question

A couple of my traps have had bugs enclosed in them for about 9 days now...the traps are fully sealed and closed.

Any ideas how long they usually take to open again?

Thanks

Andrew

usuall 3 or 4 days...but sometimes, just sometimes, mine open in about a day or two

Does 9 days sound a bit dodgy then?

Depends on how big a bug was caught. Takes me about 9 days to digest after thanksgiving!

As long as the trap isn't turning black, I bet it's ok...

One other thing...how warm is it where you are? I have noticed my VFT's go into slow motion when they are chilly.

Well in in the UK so we are sortof having our summer

Daytime temps around 20oC outside, 25 inside.

Hmmm...Must have caught a bug like my father's meatloaf!

im having the same problem, but my traps have been closed for 13days, and i only fed it a small cricket. the trap is still green, but im am starting to worry abou it.

hey dont worry about it ktulu. like schloaty said, as long as the trap is not turning black, dont worry. i fed a small crix to my vft before, it took like 10 days for it to open back up. its just enjoying its meal.
