All right, I tried somethg pretty interesting today. I have a pot of Drosera fililformis and it's really quite overgrown. It catches many flies and various other flying insects. Some flies survive on the tentacles for up to one day before fading away.
So what I did was to use a pair of tweezers and took some live flies and fed them into the waiting traps of my VFT. The flies weren't very energetic (I'd hardly imagine them to be after being glued to a sundew) but still could move around a fair bit so that helped the VFT to seal. All the traps I fed these sundew-ed flies to sealed properly.
Question tho is, and I thot abt this after I fed them, will the dew on the flies affect the VFT and cause the trap to rot?
